“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3.16-17
About Our Church
The Bible is what guides and shapes the kind of church that we are, and what we do. God tells us that the most important thing for people to do with their lives is to listen to what He has said, and then trust Him enough to do it!
God has spoken to the world in various ways, but primarily through His Son, Jesus. And Jesus’ voice is heard in the Bible, so we make sure that the Bible is central to everything that we do.
And that’s a good thing, because it means you can be sure that you aren’t being asked to follow someone else’s bright ideas (which may not be that bright), or someone else’s wisdom (which may not be very wise); you are being invited to listen to God’s Word to you. And you can check that, by seeing if what we say and do at Emmanuel is what the Bible teaches
What we’re about
We are a welcoming church, a group of ‘normal’ people working hard to connect with other people in Newbridge, Lower Weston, and right across Bath. We are driven by our desire to ‘love God and live out His love for others’.
