Bath Abbey will remain open for quiet reflection and lighting of candles and will broadcast Her Majesty’s funeral.
We give thanks to God for the life and the example of Queen Elizabeth II, who modelled for us the kind of servant-heartedness, others-centeredness, love, and humility that Jesus calls all of His disciples to embody. Let us keep the royal family and those who were closest to the Queen in our prayers, and take hold of opportunities to speak gospel hope into the mourning of our nation
Our postponed harvest lunch will now take place after the service on Sunday 30th October. We hope you can join us!
Our regular groups are all meeting as usual. Toddlers meets every Tuesday during term time from 1.30pm to 3.30pm and Messy Church is on Monday 7th November. Craft and Chat is on Thursday 10th and Thursday 24th November.
We would love you to come and join in when we meet!
For more information about these groups, please see the pages on this website.

We can’t wait to be together to celebrate summer with our wonderful community of Newbridge and Lower Weston!
During the summer holidays, we will meet together at Emmanuel Church for a combined morning service with our friends from Grace Church Bath at 10.30 a.m. (not 9.30 a.m.) on Sundays from 25th July to 29th August inclusive. These will be all-age family services exploring the parables in Luke’s Gospel and will be led and preached by a combination of Emmanuel Church and Grace Church leaders.
There will continue to be a short reflective sevice in the evening at 6.30 p.m. too.
Fellowship groups and prayer meetings will not be held over the summer, so after the prayer meeting on 21st July, we will get together again next on 1st September for fellowship groups.
From 14th March, we are running our Sunday services in the Emmanuel Church building again, taking care to adhere to all the government legislation and guidelines to ensure we are doing this in a Covid-compliant way. Please come along and join us at 9.30 am or 6.30 pm. We look forward to welcoming you!
At Easter, we are planning these services:
Good Friday service of readings & reflection – 2nd April at 10 am
Easter Day Service with Lord’s Supper – 4th April at 9.30 am
Please join us for this year’s Lent course “Seeing the Saviour”. Each week we will be showing a short video reflection on a great painting and the Gospel accounts of the final days of Jesus’s life. A member of the church family will share their thoughts on how these great masterpieces help us to engage with scripture, which we hope will inspire you as we journey through Lent together. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXX16BoV4wOzXIowbaCLiQw
