GIVING
The Bible tells us that everything we have comes to us as a gift from God. By giving to the work of His church we show our gratitude to Him.
Our giving also maintains the life of the church, and facilitates the impact of Jesus in our community, our country and our world.
The money that is given enables the church to carry out its activities. Part goes to the diocese as our “parish share” which effectively funds the salaries and training of the clergy.
The remainder pays for staff costs and the maintenance of the building, our church services and the activities that we run for members of the church and for the wider community. We also support Mission Partners in furthering the spread of the Gospel
HOW TO GIVE?
If you are already giving to Emmanuel, thank you. Your gifts are greatly valued. If you are considering making a contribution to our finances, there are several ways in which you can do this:
There is a collection plate at all our services, and if this is your preferred way of giving, we can provide you with envelopes in which to place your gift and which make our recovery of Gift Aid easier.
The most convenient way – for us and perhaps also for you – is by standing order. This helps us to predict our future income and to plan our expenditure appropriately.
A one-off donation can also be made via a bank transfer to our bank account:

GIFT AID
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you give, whether regular or one off.
To allow us to do this you will need to complete a Gift Aid declaration.
